Farm and Orchard
FARM AND ORCHARD EXPERIENCES
Rural tourism is a great experience for the whole family. In your busy lives, we know it is difficult to find time to think about WHERE your food is coming from. A visit to one of our farms or orchards is the perfect way to connect the dots. Bring your kids to one of the local farms or orchards for fun for the whole family!
Serenity Lavender
Relax on a picturesque gazebo surrounded by a winding labyrinth of lavender. Feel your stress melt away as you take a stroll through the scenic gardens, home to over 45 different kinds of lavender plantings. All of the lavender you come across in your visit is harvested directly for Serenity Lavender’s assortment of bath and body products, teas, essential oils, culinary spices, and herbs. Lavender enthusiasts can participate in a variety of classes offered in-store that include wreath-making, silk and watercolour painting, and seasonal crafts. The annual Lavender Festival that takes place each June includes live music, artisan booths, craft demonstrations and, of course, lavender field tours.
Blackstone Flowers
Stop by to pick up some beautiful locally grown flowers, served fresh out of their road side stand. Located along the lake on a historic destination route dotted with wineries, "The Bloom Box" is usually open Thursday thru Sunday during our season (early spring to late fall).
The Fruit Wagon
Since 1984, The Fruit Wagon has been offering quality home-grown fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers at “Canada’s most southerly orchard.” The daily harvest yields an ever-changing variety of plants and produce at this roadside retail stand. A special blend of apple cider vinegar made from their own apples is the newest addition to the wagon. While there, make sure to grab a bottle of homemade cider from Carolinia Cider Co.
Hawksview Honey
Hawksview is a natural farm raising bees to produce pure natural, raw honey. They are located in a Harrow and sell honey products and bee supplies. Items include honey, creamed honey, honey butter, chocolate honey, lemon turmeric honey, lemon honey, garlic honey and honeycomb (when available).

The Little Cider Company
Just a few minutes away on Ridge Road, The Little Cider Company is busy working away. In the late summer and early fall, Mary-Beth Little is busy creating some of the tastiest local apple cider, both fresh pressed and hard apple cider! Stop by their roadside, shipping container stand to pick up some apples from Wright farms, and tasty apple cider.
